All the products presented on this site are handmade by my mother, Lucretia Covrig. She is the Transylvanian artist I promote.
Here are some of her words:
"Being a retired women, after have worked all my life with numbers, I have discovered my creative artistic skills.
The times have changed a lot in the past decades in Romania and women these days do not decorate their homes like their grandmothers did.
I feel that old hand woven towels made by country women from Transylvania can come to life again. It is truely a pleasure for me to let my mind, my hands and my heart creating unique accessories, by using these vintage handmade fabrics.
Every bag I make is a piece of art: high quality sewing, perfect materials adjustment, comfortable and practic accessory.
While my creative side takes some rest, I like to stitch beautiful gobelins.
This kind of art work gives me a lot of peace, calmness and serenity, creating the perfect mood to meticulously and patiently stitch the wool thread on the needlepoint canvas."
